well, so much for itch.io. we'll see if they recover & actually relist NSFW games like they implied in their news post, or if the new 'certification requirements' are so onerous it's not really feasible to get anything listed. there is a post on the itch.io reddit about ways to pressure the payment processors, so you know, call them or send them an email about how you love bizarre pornography. probably phrase it a little differently than that, i suppose. probably don't draft it with generative ai either. i'm also pretty dubious about that 'fair access to banking' bill. mostly just yell at mastercard/visa and paypal imo.

the current game project i'm working on is this thing, which i've been sticking with for most of the past year & am finally getting to the 'mechanics and characters' part. i'm still up in the air about how pornographic i want to make it, but really every time there's another crackdown on adult content i feel like it gets more important to stuff it full of bizarre porn, even though it's not really a game style that's the most well-suited for actual porn. we'll see as development continues.

(for those not up-to-date on itch.io happenings, they delisted all adult-flagged games from all tags and search results, due to pressure from mastercard & visa via 'collective shout', which itself is a 'feminist' false front organization for this kind of right-wing conservative ideology. this is the same group behind steam's recent ToS change forbidding sex games too. it sucks!)
